Ideal Hot Nut

Specialty Mfg. Co., c. 1930, 21". This is the sibling of the Ideal Cold Peanut, with a different lid and a heater in the machine's base. The wire that powers the heater has an offshoot that works its way to the lid and powers a light designed to grab one's attention, and depending on the bulb's wattage may help heat the peanuts. I've seen this model with several different versions of the light on the lid. The version I've seen most often has a small bare bulb without a cover, which would be good for getting one's attention but useless for heating.

The machine pictured above is 100% original and is complete except that it's missing the light bulb in the lid. That's on my "to do" list, but it's not at the top of it. The Hot Nut version is scarcer than the Cold Peanut.
