Walzer Peanut Vendor

A. M. Walzer, Minneapolis, MN, c. 1930's or 1940's (estimate), 28". A steel tag on the bottom of the back door reads "A.M. WALZER CO., MPLS, MINN," so I guess that's who made this.

I don't know much about this machine beyond the fact that it sells boxes of whatever for a nickel each. It's not listed in Silent Salesmen Too and I've seen only 2 others. Those were at the Indy Ad Show around 2002, and I was intrigued because I'd never seen one before and didn't know what they were or who made them. I passed for some reason, but when the opportunity arose to buy this one I did. That worked out better in the end because this one's nicer than the 2 at the show.

This has a deco style, but it's a later waterfall-style deco. That's why I think this is later 30's or early 40's, but that's just an estimate. This example is 100% original and is in mint condition.
