Columbus Vending Company, Columbus, OH, c. 1928, 16". This is one of the more common Columbus match vendors. It's a 2-column vendor produced starting in 1928, at which time it superceded the Model 28. I think it was produced for some time after that, but I don't know exactly how long. Like the Model 30 produced in 1913-14, this dispenses matches into the center section rather than each side as did the Model 28.
This has a cast iron base and a sheet metal body, so it's a relatively heavy machine. All I've seen are green, although other original colors may exist. It can be outfitted with a wall bracket, but I've never seen a bracket for it.
This example is 100% original.
Many thanks to Roy Leatherberry for his critical review of this page.
