Welcome to Small Vintage Vending

My name is Dave Small and I've collected antique coin-operated vendors since 1991 when I bought my first one at a swap meet in Costa Mesa, CA. My interest lies mainly in gum, candy, and peanut machines from the late 1800s through the 1930s, so that's mainly what you'll see here---but I also have other types of vendors and some related collectibles tossed in as well.

On this site you'll find the following:

• Pictures and descriptions of stuff I owned at some point after I started the site in 2003, most of which I still own. The descriptions include any information I have on the model that I think is relevant and worthwhile, as well as any interesting stories about the specific machine shown on the page. Interesting to me, that is, but you be the judge.

• Other information and links to sites that may interest you.

• Musings, rants, raves, and articles that may interest collectors or potential collectors.

• Stuff for sale, most of which was in my collection until it got bumped by something else now in my collection. Like all collectors, my spatial and financial resources are finite so I sometimes have to make tough choices about what to keep and what to sell. That said, using the site to sell things is not a high priority for me so if you're looking for something in particular then please email me. If I don't have it, I may know someone who does.
